This 1920's building has been used for "vulcanizing" and " lodging" at the turn of the century. Then, for a photography studio in the 1950's and an attorney's office in the 1990's. Mr and Mrs. Cleveland granted the city of Sweetwater the use of the Oak Street side for the city's first mural. A local elementary 5th grade class voted on Kim Reddick's "Venus" in 2021.
You can see the history of the building on the Sanborn Fire maps at The Library of Congress https://www.loc.gov.The maps are arranged by state then city.
